Paragary's Bar and Oven, established in 1983, was among the first to introduce Sacramento to a style of cooking based on local, seasonal products. The cooking of Northern Italy and Southern France inspires simple preparations from the wood burning oven and charcoal grill. The full bar and a compact wine list of mostly Northern California varietals complement the frequently changing menu. This midtown location provides what is perhaps the city's most unique outdoor experience amidst gnarled olive trees, lush plantings, waterfalls, and a massive stone fireplace.
